Protecting corrected paint afterward

A fresh paint correction in Mountain View, CA leaves your vehicle's finish looking its best — but the work doesn't have to stop there. At Lion Window Tinting, we're an authorized XPEL dealer, so customers who want their paint corrected can add protection from the same shop that restored the shine. Whether you choose film or a coating, you keep the finishing steps under one roof with one team.

Paint protection film at this shop is XPEL paint protection film. XPEL describes ULTIMATE PLUS as a film designed to protect automotive paint from stone chips and abrasion — a product purpose set by the manufacturer, not a promise about any particular road or drive.

Washing your car in Mountain View

If you've just had paint correction in Mountain View, CA, how you wash your car at home matters as much as the correction itself. The City of Mountain View lists installing an automatic shutoff sprayer on a hose when washing paved surfaces and vehicles among its potable-water restrictions that are in effect at all times. In practical terms, an open-running hose wastes water continuously between rinses — and a shutoff sprayer stops the flow the moment you release the trigger.

This local rule is also a protective choice for freshly corrected paint. Rinseless, controlled washing with a shutoff nozzle reduces the chance of dragging gritty water across delicate, freshly polished clear coat. Swirls and micro-marring often start with careless home washes — not the road.

What paint correction here covers

Paint correction is one of the vehicle appearance services we offer to car owners across Sunnyvale, the South Bay and the Peninsula, including drivers from Mountain View. If your paint shows swirl marks, light scratches, dullness or oxidation, our machine-polishing process is designed to refine the finish and restore gloss before any protection is applied. Every visit is by appointment at our Sunnyvale shop, so your car gets focused, unhurried attention.

Because correction and protection work best together, we help you plan the full finish — correction first, protection second — in one conversation with one shop.

As an XPEL dealer, we can build a complete plan around your corrected paint. Common pairings include:
